absinthe infusion

Use

– In gastrointestinal disorders: burning in the stomach , anorexia (including loss of appetite), dyspepsia

– Bloating or flatulence

– Liver failure

Ingredients

For a cup of absinthe infusion, you will need:

– 1 to 2 grams of dried wormwood leaves

– About 200ml of water

Preparation

– Boil water and pour it on the wormwood leaves

– Leave to infuse for 10 minutes (to obtain an effective dose of active substances)

– Filter if necessary

Posology

– Drink a tea made from wormwood 30 minutes before meals in case of digestive problems (see usage above)

– In case of bloating or flatulence, drink the tea after meals

Contraindication

In pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Duration of treatment and health risks

– In his book “Les secrets du druide” (still without translation in Portuguese), published in 2016 by the Swiss publisher Bois Carré , the author and chemist ( droguiste in Switzerland) Claude Roggen reveals that absinthe-based treatments that exceed 2 to 3 weeks.
– He also notes that abuse or overdose can lead to dizziness and confusional states.

– Be careful with the amount of absinthe, because in excess it can be very bitter and simply inedible. Ideally, do not exceed 1 g of dried leaves (about a quarter of a teaspoon) or a fresh leaf. To combat the bitterness you can of course sweeten the tea, you can also discover a good trick below.
