Where does Atlas cedar grow?

Atlas cedar is native to Morocco and Algeria, but it can also be found in other Mediterranean countries. According to, Atlas cedar lives in mountainous areas and grows preferentially at altitudes of 1500 and 2500m.

Atlas cedar is a very well known plant in some countries like Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, etc. It has been used for thousands of years, the Egyptians used it to preserve mummies.
