Use

Against cough (dry cough in particular).
The antitussive effect of this syrup comes mainly from the mucilages, active principles found in large quantities in marsh root.
Other indications for marshmallow syrup: inflammation of the mouth and throat, slight inflammation of the gastric mucosa, digestive problems.

Ingredients

– 20 grams of dry marsh root .

– 500 mL of water.

– 1 kg of sugar.

Preparation

– First, prepare a decoction of marsh root. To do this, boil 20 grams of marsh root in 500 ml of water. Once the mixture boils, let it boil for 10 minutes at boiling temperature. Make up for the evaporated water by adding a little water. filter the mixture

– Add 1 kg of sugar to the mixture obtained. Cook until the sugar melts.

– Heat the marshmallow decoction and sugar mixture again until it turns into a syrupy mixture (you can see the “big bubbles”, a sign that we must stop cooking), let it cook for about 10 more minutes.

– Cool down.

– Put it in the bottle and make a label.*

* You can easily make a label for your medicine for example with the name of the preparation, dosage, date, etc. by simply printing your label onto a sheet, cutting it out and sticking it onto the face of the bottle.

Posology

– Drink 2 to 3 tablespoons of this syrup a day in case of a cough. For other indications, consult a specialist.

– Children under 3 years old.
