sage tincture

Use

Home remedy used against excessive sweating, hot flashes during menopause , digestive problems, colds , coughs and bronchitis .

Ingredients

– Dried sage (10 to 15 grams for a 300 mL bottle).

– Brandy (eg grain or vodka).

– A 300 ml jar (with a lid, for example a jam jar).

– Coffee filter.

– A colored bottle to store the tincture.

Preparation

– Fill a jar up to a third of the height with dried sage leaves.

– Cover the dried leaves with brandy (eg vodka) to the top of the jar.

– Close the bottle tightly.

– Let this mixture rest for 2 to 3 weeks (you will notice a change in the color of the dye after a while). Shake occasionally.

– Filter the mixture, for example with a coffee filter.

– Transfer the tincture to a brown bottle to protect from light (you can find it in pharmacies).

– Close tightly and label the bottle with the date and name of the tincture.

Posology

– Take 1 teaspoon of tincture, for example in case of excessive perspiration. For a more personalized dose, ask your pharmacist.
